Just curious. What was the first rock concert you went to? Mine was The Police in the early '80's during the Synchronicity Tour. I was 7 or 8 at the time. My parents were/are extremely cool and took me with them.
My first concert was Heart, back in 87 or 88. I won the tickets on the radio, and went with my Mom, who also liked them.
The year was 1996, febuary of that year. That was when I saw AC DC with special guests the pore. Basicly my brother and I were level with the stage, so that ment we got the full effect of the canonfire during the song for those about to rock. Even though we were on our feet pretty much through the entire show, we got blown backwards from the blast, no matter how hard we tried to remain standing. Oh and of course Angus Young did his trademark mooning the croud!
My first consert was the Eagles in 2001 at the national indoor arena in Birmingham. quite a good gig it was too.
My first concert was Bob Dylan. He played my hometown in 2002. It was excellent. It was a great lead in to larger concerts I went by U2 and the Police.
My first concert was in march of 2005. I saw coldplayat the gibson ampa theorter. It totally rocked! if you havent had a chance to go see them, you should.
laters
My first concert was in 1976. it was Pure Prairie league and ZZ top. was 12 years old.
My first concert was, Celine Dion in 1998. I won the tickets on the radio.
I'm not sure what my first concert was, and I don't think that I have been to any rock concerts. I think that my first concert that I went to was nSync. I'm not sure.
my first ever concert was billy joel with the spin doctors as the opening act.
I'm heading to my first concert tomorrow.
Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New york.
cool.
My first concert was back in 1990 was Brox and Dun, then again in 1995 or 1996. then in concert was Aaron Carter, back in 2000 but my first rock concert was evanescence. that was the one I remember the most about! then I've seen Chare once and Josh Groban three times and the american idle tour of season 2 and Clay aken's christmas concert.
My first concert from a celebrity was back in 2000 ... um four, was it? Ah well. Anyway, the performer that night was a pianist by the name of Jim brickman. My dad certainly enjoyed it, though it was so long that I was dozing off by the time it was over.
Then in February of 2005, I went to see Josh groban at the resch Center in green bay, and that was the night I sprained my right ankle. Last August, I saw him in concert again at the same venue, though thankfully, I did not get hurt that time. lol I'd love to see Celtic Woman or Evanescence in concert. haven't been to any rock concerts yet.
And, good Lord, I can't believe I'm admitting this, but who the hell cares? lol I'd love to see Hanson in concert. Yes, you read that correctly. I'm still a big fan of Hanson after all these years. lol
I forgot about seeing Jim Brikmin! it was really good, some songs wanted to put me to sleep but ahhh, it was still good!! I would love to see Evanescence again, and there's nothing wrong with still liking Hanson, I still like the back street boys so...
the first concert I went to was Boyzone! cringe!
Bruuuuce rocked! He played to the crowd, and the crowd did the rest. Pretty good set, and he was pumped up to play Long Island. Great first concert experience.
I've been to three concerts, but my first concert was seeing Linkin Park,Hoobastank,Story Of The Year and P.O.D. My second one was seeing 311 and the roots and recently I saw Simple Plan along with the graduate and Desodo Jones.
It's not technically a 'concert' but the first live thing I ever saw was Kevin Saunderson spin at the Taste fest in Detroit.
77 Comadors and the Isley Brothers on the same ticket. First row seats, don't know how my brother got them, and smoken. Been a convert every sense. I try to see as many live concerts as I can. The Bosses show is great hope you enjoied it.
OMG I love Simple Plan!
You can have them.
lmao Nick! Those guys bug me too.
I can have what?
o my god I love jim brickman. Anyways my first concert was in 1990, I was 4 and it was a local country singer named Gary Steuart.
He was referring to Simple plan.
I happen to like Simple Plan. They were my second concert, back in 2004. My first concert, I'm sort of embarrassed to admit, was the All That Music and More Tour at Jones Beach in '99. Basically it was various pop acts with skits from the Nickelodeon show All That in between. The biggest performers there were the singer Monica and 98 Degrees, one of the hot boy bands at the time. The skits weren't even that good, no Ask Ashley which was a huge disappointment to me. This summer though, I'm seeing Billy Joel at one of the last concerts at Shea Stadium. Promises to be absolutely amazing.
first really big concert was MercyMe and Amy Grant. That was good. Went to a disciple concert a couple weeks ago. that was sweet.
damn, I guess it was...and don't be cruel, Kenny Rogers and Dottie West. I was 8. My first concert alone with friends was Duran Duran in 84 I was 13, Oakland Coliseum, they filmed sing blue silver there and the live album Arena. skipped school to wait in line allday for general admission and Was on the floor! Awsome show! Still a Duranie after all these years.
Hmmmm. Mine was the Living End in 99. I was fifteen. It was an all-ages gig in the uni refectory. My mate and I thought we were just sooooo cooooool!
The first concert that was an absolute revelation for me was probably John Butler Trio, or maybe the Cat Empire, both a couple of years later.
Ironically enough I had never been to a concert until becoming a christian. So my first concert was with Paul Baloche and Brenton Brown, two worship leaders. It was gread, I love having a concert where you can honour the LORD and not just listen to music. I was planning to go on many non-christian concerts but I never made it. In my livetime before becoming a christian I wanted to see Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias and so on. I used to be an Enrique Iglesias fan. Anyone know him? Lol
Yeah, I remember Enrique. He was big in the late nineties. I liked a couple of his songs.
I liked a couple of his songs too.
My first concert was Seal in 1995 is.
my first concert was a concert of skillet's with guests audio adrillin, farewell june, and sanktis real lol can't spell
My first concert was Metallica, with Jerry Cantrell (of Alice in Chains fame) and Days of the New as openers at Giants Stadium in NJ. and out of the whats probably the close to 100 concerts i have been to I have only been to 3 arena/Stadium shows .. I much prefer the smaller venues.
my first concert was some brittany spears concert embarrassingly enough when i was about 10.
My first concert was Beck, in 99 or 2000, in Kansas City. I went with my brother, and we had a great time. Beck puts on an awesome show.
My first and only concert i've ever been to was Michael Peterson. He was good. and this was back in i think 1997?
Summer Jam 2005. It was in the Bay Area. Loved it, but at the same time, I realize how crappy some peoples' voices sound when they sing.
mine was Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino and Litle Richard, in 94, when they were all about 90 years old or something lol
all I remember was Jerry Lee Lewis on that piano and just thinking wow!!!
soooo gooooooood
saw Joni Mitchell a few years after that, she was awsome, even if her voice has changed, and fairport convention, steeleye span, etc.
been to a load of dance festivals and the likes, but don't know if you'd class them as concerts, though the chemical brothers do pull off an interesting live act lol
The first one I remember was Patsy Torres (although that's not rock but still); she performed at our school. It was either when I was in middle or high school. After the show, I got to meet her and she was very nice. The first rock one I attended that was open to everyone was either with DC-Talk or Michael W Smith, and it was actually a part of the Billy Graham Crusade. I think that was sometime in 1996 or 1997, and I'd went with my mom and an aunt and my then baby cousin. ALthough the Crusade itself was a special time to me, I ended up liking both bands so much that we got at least the DC-Talk album after the show; I think I'd gotten the Michael W Smith one later. And the first concert where it wasn't part of anything directly and was just the music and the artists performing was on October 5th of 2000 with Creed. I had went with a friend, and by chance, we ended up in a crowd and got to meet and get autographs from members of another band as well as Creed at the end of the concert. The whole experience was just really cool. *smile*

hmmm, it was either hughy louis and the news or men at work, god there is a blast from the past. Hughy came back a few years ago with the tower of power now that would have been cool!
now, the last 2 concerts I went to were rush and rush! I try not to miss them cause it might soon be there last those guys are getting old but they can still put on a hell of a show!
I'm trying to figure out which one was my first, but here's what I think.
I first saw Kutless with Disciple and Falling up in 2006 or 2007, can't remember the year but remember seeing and meeting them.
I know for a fact on March 19 2007 at the pan american center in Las Cruces NM I saw Evanescence with Chevelle and Finger eleven as openers! Evanescence was amazing and so were the others!
My first concert ever was when Heaven and Hell or Black Sabbath came to my hometown in 2007! Opening acts were Megadeth and Machinehead. It was freaking awsome! The vive was just amazing!
Aw! that pit would have been spectacular! mmm! lol!
yes, it actually was very spectacular! I woke up the next day sore as hell. lol.
dam you lol! I so wana go with you to a show! we'd totally show them that blindies can mosh! lol!
My first concert was Billy Squire Styx and Bad Company. The highlight was when I got to chat with Paul Rodgers backstage! Great concert!
Youth Brigade with The Unscene, Pistol Grip, The Briefs, and Dreadful Children at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood.
Monday, August 29th, 1999. The Cranberries at DTE Energy Music Theatre!! Still one of the best concerts I've ever seen!!
Dolores worked the crowd & we sang along to every song! It was great!!
My first concert was Trail of Tears in February of 2008
Oh good god, this is so hard to think...
First ever concert was probably Emmy-Lou Harris in Sydney in 2001. I was 16. though I might have seen John Cleary and Balfa Toujours before that.
been to so many music festivals that I honestly don't remember orders now.
Eric Bib, Béla Fleck, Steve Earle, Jack Jonson, Mick Conway and the national Junk band, all would be up there with the first people I've seen live.
as for huge concerts, Muse would have been the first, definitely.
to the guy that saw heaven and hell, awesome! and megadeath as an opener, cool! And texas shawn, you've seen rush twice? I am so jealous. they are my favorite band next to dream theater but I haven't been fortunate enough to see them live yet. some of the other concerts I've seen have been steve vai, the rolling stones on the bridges to babolon tour, dream theater on the train of thought tour, bo diddly, kat power, various classical guitarists including solo duo, some big bands, various classical recitals in London and new york, and, I got to see bela flek and edgar myer when I was a music major in colllege. that was fantastic!
